| AVCDS is proud to provide a Computer
Science program at its school as part of the standard curriculum. This
program is attended by the older two-year-olds through Kindergarteners. We have a rich library of learning CDs available,
published by many of the top vendors of children’s educational software,
spanning all age groups. For each class,
we have a one child-per-computer station ratio, and two printers
available. One
of the more recent goals of the AVCDS Computer Program was to establish
a more unified learning curriculum with measurable goals per student
that was also extensible into the classroom (through mechanisms such as
reproducible worksheets.) To help achieve this goal, AVCDS has
incorporated the use of the award-winning Clifford™ software collection
by Scholastic. |
